Nokia XpressMusic

NOKIA recently added two new devices - Nokia 5320 XpressMusic and Nokia 5220 XpressMusic - to its XpressMusic range that comes with an extra ‘dose’ of 100 free digital songs download from Universal Music Group (UMG), offering customers a star-studded music experience.

"We are happy to be collaborating with Nokia in creating this ‘easy access to music’ opportunity across the region," said Sandy Monteiro, Universal Music Southeast Asia senior vice-president.

"This initiative will provide broad reach to the music and artistes from UMG. It will also run with several exciting marketing and promotional activities involving our artistes during the campaign."

The Nokia 5320 XpressMusic features a dynamic design with 3G social entertainment capabilities. It also delivers exceptional music and offers web 2.0 access.

With the innovative new voice-controlled ‘Say and Play’ feature, consumers can merely say the name of a favourite artiste or song and it will automatically play the desired song.

In addition, dedicated N-Gage gaming keys and landscape view deliver a true gaming experience, while HSDPA provides fast access for N-Gage’s downloads.

As for the Nokia 5220 XpressMusic phone, it offers instant access to music on-the-go with its unique, asymmetrical design. Featured for the first time on a Nokia XpressMusic device is a built-in lanyard that makes the device easy to carry.

Additional features include up to 24 hours playback time, dedicated XpressMusic keys and a 3.5mm audio jack.

"The ubiquity of the mobile phone and advanced data connections like 3G and GPRS allows us to bring music right to the device for consumers. By partnering with Universal, we hope to show consumers just how enjoyable it is to listen to music on their XpressMusic devices." said Grant McBeath, general manager for Nokia Malaysia/Singapore.

Consumers who purchase the new XpressMusic phones will receive a voucher and activation code which allows them to start redeeming their favourite songs at www.nokia-asia.com/musicredemption.

There will be a Universal Music extensive catalogue of international and local artistes’ songs to be downloaded.

Both Nokia 5320 XpressMusic and Nokia 5220 XpressMusic are now available in the market and retail at RM1,085 and RM750 respectively. Both purchases come with a Bluetooth stereo headset BH-503.
